There is excitement of new life at Selah Shelties. Seven healthy puppies arrived on January 19, 2016. Sired by Avebury Grandgables Merry Soul out of Brynmere Selah Captivating. Shetland Sheepdog Club of Greater Detroit (SSCGD) is affiliated with the The American Shetland Sheepdog Association (ASSA).  The ASSA club was founded in 1929 at the Westminster Kennel Club show. The ASSA club’s first specialty was held in 1933. Much has changed since the early days of the club, but ASSA remains committed to protecting and advancing the interests of the sheltie breed.
